At five weeks and five days old, Barr-o, as he's coming to be called by Cayden, rolled from tummy to back twice tonight after bath, then refused a third performance so Daddy and big brother could see.

Trying not to compare the little to the big too much, but for all their differences, it's pretty amazing how close this milestone was for both of them.  Barrett beat Cayden's first roll by a day. :)

While I am finding that we don't break the camera or video camera out quite as often this time around, when we do, we're getting great stuff.  Be it the new camera, a better understanding of the kinds of photos and videos we'll actually keep and use or a slightly improved understanding of photography basics, the focus is certainly on quality over quantity, here.

I'm forever grateful to my first born for the gift of motherhood, for he made me a mama and started me on this journey of boundless love.  To my second born I'm forever grateful for the opportunity to savor motherhood, for he gave me the fortune of delighting in the fleeting moments of neediness and innocence I fumbled through and rushed past the first time around.
